Today was a brutally wintery day here at WeatherMatrix HQ in Central PA.

We started off with a low temperature of 1 degree F, which set a new record
1997 which was when I moved here (the previous record low was also set LAST
WEEK at 2).

At 7:45pm our Wind Chill (old formula) fell to -28 F, which again broke the
lowest wind chill record, which was ALSO set LAST WEEK.

We only reached a high of 12 and at 6pm it was 9 degrees with high winds,
snow, and blowing and drifting snow.

We have reported snow on all but 1 day of the last two weeks.

Other temperatures in Centre County this morning:

Bellefonte AWS: 2
State College AWS: 0
State College NWS: 1
PSU AWOS: -3

The following NWS stations in PA reported subzero temps as low as -5 this
morning:
Bradford, Dubois, Franklin, Johnstown, Mt. Pocono, KGKJ, KBTP

A handful of stations in NY reported temps from -10 to -15F.
