Numerous Sites set new records today, Our high today at Weather Duck
Inc. Forecasting in Oxford Mills (Oxford Junction), Iowa was 61.2
degrees at 2:02pm. Defiantly a warm winter day in the Midwest. Looking
back at the record books though, Last year at about the same time we
were in a similar pattern with temps just a tad cooler, notice that many
of the records broken were from 2002. Des Moines set a new all time
high record for the month of January, the old record was 65 set back on
January 26th 2002 and other previous years. Both Lamoni and Ottumwa
experienced their 2nd highest January temperatures on record, the all
time high set for both cities was on January 31st 1989, Lamoni's all
time high was 70 degrees, while Otumwa's was 71 degrees. Record Table
