Hidi-ho good neighbors. Greetings from the icy high desert of the Mid
Atlantic. The forecast for my homestead in the hills was for some mixed
precipitation this morning changing to rain as the temperature rose to the
mid 30s.
Instead the temperature has dropped during the day. I now have light freezing
rain with a temperature of 30 degrees. There is 0.5 of an inch mix of snow,
sleet and freezing rain on the ground. Another 0.3 of an inch of ice coating
everything else. The wind has been brisk but my anemometer is frozen up on
the roof and right now it is too dangerous to climb up there and break up the
ice. As the low pulls away some cold air will arrive in the mid levels and we
are expecting about two inches of snow on top of the ice. If I could only
move to Florida. {:0>} Until later.
