Severe weather has spread across the South on this Christmas eve...
currently a Tornado Watch and 6 Tornado Warnings are in effect for parts of
AL, FL, and GA. In Georgia a spotter has reported a tornado in Albany:

901 AM EST TUE DEC 24 2002 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TALLAHASSEE HAS
ISSUED A * TORNADO WARNING FOR... DOUGHERTY COUNTY IN GEORGIA WORTH COUNTY
IN GEORGIA THIS INCLUDES SYLVESTER... * UNTIL 945 AM EST * AT 859 AM EST A
SKYWARN WEATHER SPOTTER REPORTED A TORNADO IN THE NORTHWEST PART OF
ALBANY...MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH.

A slight risk of severe thunderstorms continues in these areas today.
