Greetings,
      Well today was a very interesting weather day
here in Baiting Hollow, NY. We recieved 1.16" of rain
from the storm, anw rainfall rates of up to 2.25"/hr.
The heavy rain caused many back streets to have areas
under 5" to 10" of water. Several fields had over one
foot deep ponds of water in them. The water level in
a near by sump rose by nearly 3 feet!
     As well as all this rain associated action the
winds were really howling today. Ten minute sustained
winds reached a seven year high of 31mph. and gusts of
53mph. occured.
