"BEIRUT, Lebanon (Reuters) -- Winter storms lashed Lebanon on Friday,
flooding homes and cutting power to dozens of villages across the south and
east.

Cars floated in the streets near the southern port city of Sidon after a
river burst its banks at dawn, immersing at least 10 homes and some nearby
banana plantations in water."
