[STORMREPORTS] T.S. Hannah

From: Thomas Giella, FMCI (fmci{at}tampabay.rr.com)
Date: Thu Sep 12 2002 - 10:40:38 EDT

[ED. NOTE: Although the NHC's recon shows tropical storm conditions, they have not yet officially upgraded the storm as of 3pm eastern]

The hurricane hunter plane people found this morning that T.D. #9 is now
T.S. Hannah. With helicity values at +174 we must watch out for tornadoes
today and tomorrow. Looks like Hannah will go ashore somewhere north of
Tampa Bay, so we will be on it's bad side. Any widespread heavy rainfall
will be a very bad thing, as Florida is a saturated swamp already due to
heavy summer rains. However the cyclone is stationary at this moment so it's
exact track is a tough forecast. This is another T.S. vs hurricane Gabrielle
situation.

Take Care,
