The National Weather Service in Caribou Maine has issued a special weather
statement for the high winds expected tomorrow. 30-40 MPH with gusts to 50
MPH.
...STRONG WINDS ARE POSSIBLE LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON INTO FRIDAY
NIGHT...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS THE SAINT LAWRENCE
RIVER VALLEY TONIGHT AND INTENSIFY AS IT MOVES INTO THE CANADIAN
MARITIMES FRIDAY AFTERNOON. AS THIS SYSTEM MOVES INTO THE
MARITIMES...IT WILL DRAG MUCH COLDER AIR INTO THE REGION ON STRONG
WEST TO NORTHWESTERLY WINDS.
SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ON THE ORDER OF 20 TO 30
MPH WITH GUSTS POSSIBLY REACHING 50 MPH...ESPECIALLY FRIDAY EVENING.
THESE GUSTY WINDS COULD BRING DOWN TREE LIMBS AND CAUSE SPORADIC
POWER OUTAGES.
Stay tuned to WeatherSource for updates on this weather condition.
