Yet once again the Pacific Northwest is dealing with unexpected snowfall.
Revised watches and warnings have been issued for a number of locations.
What was suppose to be a dusting to an inch with most areas receiving rain,
is now turning out to be one more late season Western Washington snowfall.
Snow continues from Olympia to the Hood Canal area, northern King and
Snohomish counties, and the Cascade foothills above 500 feet. Although
forecasters are calling for total snowfalls (before it turns to rain below
1000 feet) in the Cascade foothills to be in the 2" to 4" range, at this
reporting station (altitude 765') we have already had close to 4" of snow
since 9 AM this morning with current temperature of 35 degrees and light to
moderate snowfall.
