Record Report for Temple, Texas (60 miles north of Austin)
for Monday, March 4, 2002
The local NWS station in Waco (35 miles North) set a new record low temperature
for the date with a low temperature of 23 degrees. This replaced the previous
record of 24 degrees set in 1965. The low temperature at my station this morning
was 24 degrees.

and date.
College Station - 17 degrees (24 degrees in 1965)
Austin - 17 degrees (23 degrees in 1971)
San Antonio - 19 degrees (23 degrees in 1965)
D/FW Airport - 20 degrees (21 degrees in 1978)
Victoria - 21 degrees (29 degrees in 1965)
Houston - 22 degrees (25 degrees in 1971)
Del Rio - 26 degrees ( 27 degrees in 1965)
Corpus Christi - 28 degrees (29 degrees in 1965)
The readings for Austin and San Antonio were all time lows for the month of
March.
