More than 300,000 homes inundated with waters

HANOI, Oct. 23 — Storms, high winds and floods
have killed 326 people, many of them children,
in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta and several central
provinces since August, officials said on
Tuesday. At least 243 children were among the
310 deaths collated by late Monday since
seasonal floods hit the Mekong Delta rice basket
in August, a disaster official in southern Vietnam
               said.
