Winds have begun to get quite strong here in
Asheville. In the past three hours with the frontal
passage, we have had sustained winds in the mid 20's
with gusts of 28, 31 and 30 respectively (hourly obs
from airport). Front has just barely made it through
the area as Charlotte (90 miles east) still reports SW
winds at 9 and temp of 75.
Here in A-town, Temps have dropped from 62 at noon, to
55 now (3pm).
Now, with upslope flow across the northern mtns., and
a little moisture, we have a 30% chance of rain/snow
showers for tonight, mainly north and west of my
location. Lows will be around freezing.
