A line of severe thunderstorms moving through South Florida
spawned ``a family'' of tornadoes in Miami-Dade County this
afternoon, forecasters said. Residents reported touchdowns
by at least one -- and possibly several -- in Medley and the
Doral area.
No injuries or significant
damage were immediately
reported. The tornadoes
appeared shortly after 1
p.m. and tornado warnings
and severe thunderstorm
warnings were issued for portions of Miami-Dade until 3:30
p.m.
