The minimum central pressure of Tropical Storm Chantal has fallen to 1003mb
as of the 5pm update. The storm continues to have maximum sustained winds of
60 mph with gusts to hurricane strength in some spots of the storm.
According to the latest satellite image, it looks like Chantal is getting
better organized, and I am forecasting Chantal to be a hurricane during
Sunday, and I think it will remain east of the Yucatan Peninsula. The Gulf
of Mexico coast should monitor this storm for potential landfall later this
work week.
