Aug. 14 — Washington, D.C., is hoping for some
extra attention from the federal government
               following severe weekend storms. Mayor
Anthony Williams hopes officials touring the city
Tuesday will see enough storm damage to
warrant a federal disaster declaration, which
would trigger federal aid and low-interest loans.
