WFO DLH conducted a damage assessment of the 6/18/01 Siren, WI F3
tornado and have placed pictures from the survey on our website. You

on the front page. We also have pictures from the damage assessment
from the 6/13/01 F2 Brainerd tornado. Click on that link under the News

For those interested, I added a NOAA-15 AVHRR visible and IR image
from an overpass just prior to the Siren, WI tornado event:

It's interesting that the coldest IR cloud top temperatures were
associated with the "newer" overshooting top region to the north
of the "Siren updraft region". GOES-8 IR data suggested that cloud
tops within the Enhanced-V region were indeed *warming* just a bit
around this time.
