Subject: GOES-8 visible animation of Florida fire smoke plume

Satellite Enthusiasts,

http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/goes/misc/010524/010524_vis_anim.html

This is a long animation (37 images), but it really shows the
dramatic changes in smoke plume transport from the large fires
burning over northern Florida today. Look closely and you can
even see some subtle overshooting turrets over the plume
source region.

There's also a nice packet of contrails that go zipping off
the east coast of Florida.
