was fine, but i included it anyway.

Another record cold am in VA. Although i missed the record by 4º, 2 stations had new record lows.
Dulles Airport: new record 18º, (old was 20 from 1990)
Richmond: new record 23º, (old was 24 from 1969)

===== Thurs 3-29: After the clouds increased about sunrise, snow began about 8am & the changed to rain by 9:30am. Light - Moderate rain continued past midnight. Heaviest daily total goes to 1984, when 3.51" fell. It started the previous late afternoon, & ended as snow the next am. The NWS had issued a winter storm warning for an 10-15" accumulation, but the storm ended by 11am, with no acum of snow. Winds were very gusty, my estimate was about 40mph both the 27th & 28th.
My high was 39.7º at 12:01am, the low was 36.9 at 11:21pm. The PWG was 20mph at 10:51pm, and the low windchill was 15 at 11:31pm. The barometer fell almost a half inch, to 29.86". === early this am Fri 3-30 Several river flood warnings were issued for southside VA counties.
