Wettest Twelve Months in Great Britain in More Than Two Centuries...

Abundant rainfall across England and Wales over the past 12 months has
caused several bouts of flooding. The past 12 months have been the
wettest
across England and Wales in the last 235 years. The average rainfall
across
Great Britain during the past 12 months was about 51 inches, nearly
double
the average yearly rainfall in most areas. Last autumn was the dampest
autumn on record for both countries.
