The nor'easter brought about 2" of rain near town, with radar indicated
amounts of 4" in some mountainous sections. My wet wx stream in the
backyard ran very high, up to 4' wide in places. A large part of of the
backyard was underwater.
When i got home for work, the 1st road closure was announced on the fire
radio. About 6pm, the list grew to 6. Again i relayed the info to the
NWS. Within 15 minutes, the NWS issued a Flash Flood Warning, until 9pm
for my county.
About 9pm, near the expiration time of the 1st warning, 3 more roads
were announced as closed. Within 15 minutes of my call, the FFW was
extended until 3am Thur,
