(I had trouble accessing Webtv Tue night, & Photopoint Wed, so this is a
tad late.)

Winchester Va

Mon 3-05
I was quite disappointed that the snowstorm didn't happen. I have
nicknamed it "Mid Atlantic Dud" (of a) Snowstorm. We had 1.25" here
between 11pm Sunday and 8:30am Monday. Western parts of my county, above
1100', had 2-4" of snow, which began Sunday am.

The sky about 1pm:

A few snow showers continued into the day, especially between 2 to 5pm &
9 to 10:30pm.
The evening snow showers gave us a fresh "skiff" of snow, and up to 1"
in Shenadoah & Page counties. That caused widespread slipperiness there,
& accidents closed the I-81/211 northbound bridge for a few hours, and
US 211 where it crosses the Massanutten and Blue Ridge Mnts until the
road crews salted the highway.

Mon high was 39.2º at 1:49pm, the low was 24.1º at 11:49pm. About 1"
snow fell. The PWG was 32mph at 1:45pm. Low windchill was -8º, at
10:41pm.
=======
Tue 3-06
It started sunny, then clouded up. By afternoon, SF's & occasional light
snow showers moved in from the north. Between 6pm & 10:30pm light snow
fell, moving in from the northeast It did not accumulate.

Tue photo: Darker clouds move in from the NE to indicate the start of a
steadier snow.

The low was 22.4º at 6:37am, the high 37.7º at 2:00pm. The low
windchill was -9º at 7:33pm.
A wind advisory was in affect from noon to 10pm. My PWG was 37mph at
10:53am. The airport's wind were sustained between 20-32mph much of the
afternoon. The airport had sustained winds of 39mph w/ a PWG of 45mph
about 2:15pm. At Randolph Macon Academy in nearby Front Royal VA, the
PWG was 47mph.

And if you have not heard the bad news, Weatherguys went belly up, as
the "Internet Depression" deepens. A message at the website suggests
that soon, will be able to cc&p html code to activate products on our
sites, but the e-mail service is gone.
