****DRIVING ON LONG ISLAND ROADS ARE TREACHEROUS****
A normal commute I just undertook from West Hempstead to Farmingdale
usually takes 20 Minutes. It just took me 2 hours!! I witnessed a gas
truck jackknife, among other spin outs. The roads are very slick. I guess
about 3" of powder on the surfaces, with a coating of ice underneath the snow.
