Winchester (nw) VA
A brilliant sunny day (with a few cirrus as noted here) helped cause a
meltdown to begin.

Streets that were a solid sheet ice after they were plowed overnight
were just wet at midday.
However the wetness froze at dark Sunday, & many streets became icy
again. Nearly all schools (systems) here are opening late today. Even
some schools in the Baltimore/ Washington area are also opening late.
I estimated the water equivalent of the winter mix, & along w/measured
"liquid" rain totalled 1.58" for Thur to Sun. Total snowfall 4.5". The
deepest drift was 8".
For Sunday, the low 19.1 at 7:46am. The high was 34.6 at 3:14pm. PWG
(after the anemometer thawed) was 16mph (1:26pm).
Dryer air rushed in early the am. The DP fell from 25 to 6. The
barometer rose from 29.88 to 30.42".
Don't forget to look at least some of my pix. I have over 2 dozen to
choose from.
