Snow flurries started falling around 8:00 PM last night turned into light snow for a brief period and dropped about 1/4" on the ground...it was rather windy through the event so everything went to the ground...none in the trees, little on the cars and railings. The temperature hit 13.4° for a low this morning at my house, it is now 9:16 AM and 14.9°. The time of the low was 7:53 AM, so as you can see, right now the temp is not going up much....its rising really slow. The high is supposed to be in the upper 20's today, but it may get a little warmer than that due to more sunshine than expected. The winds are howling right now with recent gusts to 29 Mph giving a low wind chill of negative 25°. The current wind average now is NW at 15 Mph w/ gusts to 24 Mph. The wind chill is between 5 and 10 below for the most part. Looks like a cold week on tap for North Georgia.
