I'm going to go ahead and assume that this wind gust was a mistake,
considering that would almost double the world's record... guess those
High Wind Warnings weren't kidding around :)

All jokes aside, the winds are starting to howl out there in the
Midwest. Most recent gusts (including a more reasonable reading from
KCGX):

12/11/2000-22Z 51.8 mph at Chicago/Meigs IL (CGX)
