Further followup comments from yesterday on the disturbance in the SW
Caribbean. It has a very nice flareup of convection around 15n 81w. If
it were October or November I'd say hhhhmmmm. It' a classic old cold
frontal boundry metamorphosis.
It does remind me of a similar unnamed disturbance that moved across
Florida in December 1980. Actually so far December 2000 in general
pattern wise has many similarities to December 1989 and 1980.
