The Gulf Of Mexico

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Gordon
located about 85 miles west of Tampa Florida...and on Tropical Storm
Florence located about 415 miles south-southwest of Cape Race Newfoundland.
The remnants of tropical depression twelve...now a strong tropical
wave...are passing through the Leeward Islands with numerous
thunderstorms...heavy rainfall...and wind gusts to tropical storm force.
This system will affect all the islands in the Greater Antilles over the
next couple of days. There are no signs of redevelopment and the Air Force
Reconnaissance flight into this system for today has been canceled.
A tropical wave is located in the far eastern Atlantic several hundred miles
south-southeast of the Cape Verde Islands. This system has some potential
for development over the next day or two as it moves westward.

INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SITUATION REPORT
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2000 - 0900 MDT
NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS LEVEL III

CURRENT SITUATION:

Five new large fires were reported, four in the Southern Area and one in the
Northern Rockies Area. Crews reached containment goals on three fires, one
each in Southern California, Eastern Great Basin and Rocky Mountain Areas.
Initial attack activity was moderate in the Southern Area and light
elsewhere. A trough moving through the Northern Rockies will bring showers
and thunderstorms to Idaho, Montana, western Wyoming and northern Utah. Very
high to extreme fire indices were reported in California, Idaho, Utah,
Wyoming, Nevada, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Arkansas,
Texas and Oklahoma.

SOUTHERN AREA LARGE FIRES:

northwest of Ardmore, OK, and is burning in grass, cedar, and oak. Crews
continue to mopup and secure control lines.

fuels five miles west of Mulhall, OK. Spotting, crowning and torching was
observed on the fire. Crews and one helicopter continued with containment
efforts.

north of Pontotoc, OK. The fire continued to exhibit active burning in the
interior. Crews continue to mopup and secure containment lines.

SPONSORSHIP NOTICE

Since 1994, The Sandbagger Corp. has manufactured sandbag filling
machines used by civilian and military agencies the world over for flood
control and back flooding from hurricanes. The United States Air Force,
Army Corps of Engineers and many of the cities in Florida have our
machines for this very purpose. The State of North Carolina bought four
of our machines during Hurricane Floyd. Our machines are currently being
used in Kosovo and have produced over 2,500,000 sandbags to date. We
have two types of machines, gravity fed and motorized. This is a
description of our MA Motorized Auger Model II,
System Components:
Sandbag filling machine to include four (4) filling stations
Safety Grid
Safety Shield
Auger and Agitator
Gas Engine
Hydraulic Motor
Vibrator (optional)

Description: This automated sandbag filling system is used to fill four
(4) sandbags simultaneously. It requires four (4) men to fill sandbags
and one (1) man to operate the front-end loader to keep the 2 cubic yard
hopper full. This unit is capable of filling at least 1600 bags per hour
using unskilled labor. It is also lightweight and pick-up truck
portable. This Sandbagger is equipped with a hydraulic driven
bi-directional auger and agitator to keep wet materials flowing.
Optional towing package available.
