hello, here is the weather forecast and discussion for august 9th. state college says that convection is r'ealy moveing and the are consern about the convection moveing in from the centeral lakes, during maximum heating of the day, and that if winds go more southerly that tornadoes are possible and they expect wide spread severe weather. all persons as always in a situation like this should listen for further statements and watches or warnings. a complex low pressure system now in ontario, will make itself known today for all of the northeast with wide spread severe weather. this should bee through our area before midnight. this is a dangerous situation and people should take warning if tornadoes should form, remember in any severe thunderstorm, tornadoes could form with little or no advanced warning. so keep an eye to the sky. I expect statements to go out on this situation. skywarn, a good bet today, here is what state college had to say in the discussion.
