CESAR Group Canada Watch Area NOTICE 2: is issuing NOTICE 2 on 92L to the
Northern Lesser Antilles above Lat: 16.0 degrees north> as of 1343 EDT 1743 Z.
All NEMA agencies should be aware of 92L that is predicted to turn into a
Tropical Storm. This weather area is demonstrating rapid development and at
the present time appears to be on a west>lay> north westerly path. However,
the CG Team advises that Alberto and this system could merge above 20 degrees
north and create severe weather conditions by their feeder bands. Presently
the team is observing weather cells moving easterly towards Jamaica. Impact
from these low-pressure systems feeding into 92L and possibly Alberto may
cause weather anomalies such as microbursts and therefore damaging winds,
heavy rains, tide levels above normal, rock and mudslides in mountainous
regions and the possibility of Tornadoes.
