Hurricane Daniel is now a strong category 3 hurricane. As of 11 am et/10 am ct... Daniel was located near latitude 14.1 N, 120.1 W... moving west at 19 mph. The maximum sustained winds are 120 mph... gusting to 150. The minimum central pressure is 956 millibars.

The storm is expected to remain a Category 3 hurricane through at least 48 hours. Through 72 hours, it should still be at least Category 2. Movement will continue to be out to sea... not affecting Mexico. However... at its current track... Daniel may affect Hawaii. Whether or not it will still be this strong remains to be seen.
