This evening proved to be a very Stormy evening in the South-East areas
of New York and South Western New England. These storms that threatened
us most the late afternoon, by passed our area, however they became
quite severe in areas just to the south east of Albany, New York. The
NWS in Albany, received unofficial confirmation of a sighted tornado,
about 15 miles east of Albany, in Grafton, NY. Initial damage reports
of, many trees and wires were downed as well as, a path of destruction
100ft. wide about 3,000ft. long where the possible tornado was reported.
The Berkshire areas in Massachusetts also received very severe weather,
and has reported rainfall amounts in excess of 4 inches, along with lots
of wind damage. Here where I'm located, in Saratoga Springs,NY., we just
received some momentary, strong winds and a trace of rain, and about one
rumble of thunder. Guess we lucked out, but I was kind of disapointed.
