It appears that the drought conditions and heat that have been around
West Central Florida seem to have hit a peak. The maximum
high temperature in the Busch Gardens area of the city of Tampa hit 99
degrees. This probably a record for the day in this area but the
official recording station at Tampa International Airport is usually a
few degrees cooler. All that asphalt and concrete?? Doesn't seem
possible but I suppose there is an explination with all the long wave
and short wave reflection off of those surfaces. Seems like it should be
alittle warmer.
It's predicted to be even warmer tomorrow. Good thing the humidity has
been down or things would be unbearable around here!!!!
