Hi Folks!
Well, the mercury really went through the roof today. At my Wx station, I had a high of 88 degrees, which totally blows away the previous high temp of 77 degrees, set at National Airport (DCA), which hit an "official" high of 84 degrees today. It was so warm when I got out of class this morning, the coat stayed in the back seat, and I had to turn on the AC in the car to cool it off inside.
Boy, ol' Puxatawney Phil was wrong about winter this year!! :-) Maybe he shoulda consulted with General Lee in Georgia first!! (Of course, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop--March is our most unpredictable month, and I've seen blizzards and such after warm spells like this--on into early April even. My birthday is April 15th, and I've always wanted SNOW on my birthday, just once--even a flurry would be nice. I've missed it by a week either way. Maybe yet?!?!?!)
