Hello all,
I have been busy, thus the reason for not posting lately. We had a
6" snowfall Sunday, falling mostly between 10am & 6pm, at times 2" per
hour. Some of the flakes, being fed by WAA, were 2" across. Roads were
hazardous until they were plowed Sunday evening or today. Most are free
of snow but patchy black ice replaces wet spots. And our cable system,
Adelphia, after agonizing us for 15 years of the "blue screen" forecast,
we finally got upgraded to the newest Weatherstar computer.
The NWS seemed proud to nail this storm in advance, even though i had
told locals to expect 6-12" on Friday, 36 hours before the NWS put
accumulations on their forecast. Balt/Wash forecast disc this am
