Here in Plant City, Fl. on 1/14 at 11:00pm-
Temp 40 Deg
Wind Chill 25 Deg
B.P. 30.62"
==========
  Some topsy turvy temps. in Florida tonight. In the far northern
reaches of Central Florida where the wind has become calm the temp. has
dropped to 27 deg. In west central upper 30's to low 40's and east
central upper 50's to low 60's due to onshore flow.
  The latest run of the ECMWF forecast model this evening is
unimpressive between the 19th and 20th, as far as a sharply digging
longwave trough over the SE U.S. and any strong ridging out west. If
this verifies and it should, it appears that a significant freeze threat
for Florida will be delayed until after the 21st. The 168 hour 850 mb
prog. depicts the dam bursting and Arctic air screaming southward as the
intense Atlantic coastal bomb heads for the Canadian Maritimes. Florida
will face two or three significant freeze threats during the next two
weeks after the 21st, not good.
