Powell Says:
As of this morning we now are 17.07 inches of rain below normal. So far
we have managed to get .48 inch at the airport. Many areas got much less
when the storm (the one I reported on) blasted by. Normal for the month
to date is 1.90. There are multiple forest fires burning in the NC, SC,
GA and TN mountains.
Thomas Says:
Though Florida recieved ample rainfall this year after the dry La'Nina
induced fall, winter and spring, 50.16" so far at my location, we are
starting to get dry in many areas, with fire danger warnings being
posted by the NWS.
Though the general consensus is for another relatively warm and dry
La'Nina winter once again, I feel that forecast in in error.
See my 120 day outlook below link for my winter forecast. It is
specifically for Florida but is applicable to the SE U.S.
