" I went out tonight at about 5PM and
observed a storm moving west to east and major rotation in it. These pictures I
am forwarding to you. The rotation lasted about 12 minutes, and then faded away
as the rains set in. I got some great footage with the video camera, and it is
another one for my collection! We received about 1/2" rain over 2 hours,
with intermittent, but strong lightning- quite a few ground strikes. The storms
began building about 4:00PM. It was windy at times, but no hail to report.
Also, there were no known fires set off by the lightning in the immediate area.
I was 1 1/2 miles south of my house at 16 mile creek, on Cedarford Road in
Flagler Estates. The funnel would not form, or touch down, but action was
awesome!!!"
