Heat Wave in the Eastern US June 1999

Extremely hot weather, with record-breaking temperatures over over 100 degress, affected the Eastern US on Jun 7-10 1999. Below are some snapshots of the heat. See also the drought.

  • • There are a few out of the ordinary readings such as the Alleghany Airport at Pittsburgh reporting 80's, which I think was equipment malfunction, but notice the mid 70's well into the NE US.
