Storm Summary
I was storm chasing and actually was targeting area to the South. I had to get around this storm as it went through Goochland, County. I tornado warning was issued for a doppler indicated tornado. I thought I was safe, but I entered heavy rain, hail up to nickel size and frequent lightning NE of Richmond, Va. Later a saw a wall cloud with a possible brief funnel East of the city from 295. The wall cloud was not rotating. I continued South away from the storm when it moved east over poor roads and it appeared to weaken. There were reports of rotating debris, funnel clouds and damage by the some of the Richmond TV stations but no NWS confirmation yet of a tornado.
